How to Fix the Population Problems
I would like to start off by listing out someone of the widely known bad things about Russia.
1) (An image of)Violence + Mobs
2) Internal conflict between Chechnya ascending to violence
3) Need for large amounts of immigration
4) higher birthrate
Immigration
Well, most of us as seen the joke of Russian violence on the internet or magazines ("You will be beaten on the head with batons"~ Putin (Macleans)), from some random Google image search, or an internet meme. What most of us haven't heard of is the internal conflict between Chechnya and Russia. Chechnya wants to be separate from Russia. Russia doesn't agree, conflict ensues and violence surfaces. We've gotten a general idea that Russia isn't a very welcoming place, or nice place to live. (refer to pictures) If nobody thinks it's a good place to move to, nobody will. The governemt could try to change that, by putting Russia in a better light, a different viewpoint, and launch campaigns to encourage immigration to Russia. Without large immigration rate like in Canada, their population will continue to decrease/ be unstable, which calls for...
Higher Birthrate
while this is a daring task that is certainly not easy to achieve. However, the government could encourage people to have more babies and to have monetary compensation for people who have extra children, similar to China and the support for girl children. The government could also launch education programs for promote it's cause
